Nicknaming Pokemon Stamp

Description

Do you ever pick a Pokemon and you thought about naming it? Recently, I have been giving nicknames to my Pokemon:
Kai (Popplio)
Keanu (Pikipek)
Snowflake, Anna and Ernest (Alola Vulpix)
Several of my nicknames are either meaningful, such as Keanu for a Pikipek. Keanu in Hawaiian means "Breeze that blows over mountains". Several have a theme going for it, such as my male Alolan Vulpix being named Ernest. Way back in Diamond, I named an Eevee "Scott", to fit in with the fact I had Eevees named Jeff, Penelope, Virgil, John, Gordon and Alan. Little did I know that Scott the Eevee would, by accident, evolve into a Glaceon. At the time I was training up Virgil, who had evolved into a Jolteon, and unfortunately, Scott was holding the Experience Share, so you can guess what happened. Some names are from characters from various series: The Eevees above were named after Thunderbirds characters, and I recently bred a female Rowlet named Hedwig. Others are named from mythology. In Generation 6 I had a theme of "Shiny Pokemon named after characters from Young Adult novels. Females named after characters from Dystopian novels, male Pokemon, no restriction." So far, this theme consists of three Pokemon: Glimmer, a Pangoro named after a character from "The Hunger Games", Edmund, a Whirlipede, named after a character from "The Chronicles of Narnia" and Polly could be named after a character from a very obscure novel. If I can get a Buizel in the future, I plan to name him "Neil" after a Buizel I had back in Diamond with the same name. If I can't think of a name I just give the Pokemon I am naming whichever name pops into my head, I probably had four Pokemon named "Timothy", one on Diamond, another on Y, a third on Omega Ruby and a Charmander on Pokemon Sun. But some names are pretty weird: I have seen someone on Tumblr receive a Furfrou named "Tim Allen". The Furfrou was female. I have even seen Mythical Pokemon being given horrible names and I have received a Meloetta whose name was basically so disgusting that I ended up releasing it. Even worse, I have spotted the person who traded me the rudely-named Meloetta on the GTS putting up Mythical Pokemon with names referring to sex. Thankfully, I downloaded a legit Meloetta earlier that day. But the best names have to be puns. I have a trio of Rowlets whose names are basically puns. So far on Pokemon Sun, I have yet to receive a Yungoos or Gumshoos with a name that refers to Trump. But like the rudely-named Meloetta, I'll probably end up with a Yungoos with a Trump-related name. Several of my nicknames are named after characters from other video games: My Amaura and Tyrunt on Y are named Aurora and Leon after characters from the "Professor Layton" series. Aurora was the name of a girl who spent centuries frozen in solid ice. Leon Bronev was the name of the guy who was after great power and was willing to kill anyone to get it (It's implied he may have killed Jean Descole/Desmond Sycamore's wife and daughter, as when the main characters are in Mossina, Desmond mentions to Umid, a local boy, that his daughter would have been the same age as him) In Ultra Sun, I have nicknamed Pokemon after gods and goddesses from various mythologies (Arinna, my first Shiny Helioisk, is named after a sun goddess from Hittite mythology. Pele, my first Shiny Magcargo, is named after the Hawaiian goddess of volcanoes. Nephele is named after the cloud goddess from Greek mythology, while my most recent Shiny Audino is named Apollo). There are exceptions to the rule (My Shiny male Altaria is named Harold, while my Shiny Golbat is named Den. My Shiny Audino is named Tilly. I plan to name a Shiny Minior 'Oumuamua, after the first Interstellar object that appeared in our Solar System last year. 'Oumuamua is Hawaiian for "Messenger from afar arriving first") For the Isle of Armor, the nicknaming theme of Pokemon I catch will be "The Space Race", named after people and spacecraft associated with the era (I won't nickname Kubfu though)
The best names I have had are:
Diamond: Virgil (Jolteon), Scott (Glaceon), Neil (Buizel)
Y: Aurora (Amaura), Glimmer (Pangoro, shiny), Edmund (Whirlipede, shiny), Polly (Gothitelle, shiny).
Omega Ruby: Nicknames restricted to Hidden Ability Pokemon
Sun: Keanu (Pikipek), Kai (Popplio), Timothy (Charmander), Ernest (Alolan Vulpix, male), Hedwig (Rowlet), Dexter (Litten)
Ultra Sun: Arinna (Shiny Helioisk), Pele (Shiny Magcargo), Nephele (Shiny Altaria), Den (Shiny Golbat), Apollo (Shiny Audino)
Sword: I nicknamed my entire Team this time around. Some examples:
Rollo the Perrserker (I wanted to go with a "Viking" name, and I remembered a conversation my grandmother said while watching "Foyle's War" on television once)
Prue the Alchemie (After Prue Leith from the "Great British Bake Off")
Sam the Corviknight (Short for "Isambard")
Jessica the Clefable
Claire the Galarian Ponyta
Suki the Shuckle
Henry the Intelleon (I was always going to call my Starter "Henry", going through a mini Titanic phrase at the time. Harold the Sirfetch'd and Joseph the Clefairy also were named during the phrase)
Isle of Armor nicknames:
Yuri the Lillipup (Was the first Pokemon I caught in Isle of Armor)
Ro the Jigglypuff (I was going to call him "Roger" but I remembered I named a Pancham on Sword "Roger", and while trying to think of an alternate name I submitted)
Virgil the Mienfoo (Second Pokemon I caught on the Isle of Armor)
Whitney the Miltank (After the infamous Johto Gym Leader)

Other nicknames is Sword:
Alan the Eiscue (Continuing with the "Space" theme)
Cadbury the Rillaboom (After that Cadbury's advert featuring a gorilla)
Francesc the Cinderace (Named after a soccer player; I wanted to name a Scorbunny after a soccer player but didn't want to go with the names that everyone else was going for.)
Stuart the Nidoran (Space Race theme; he was bred in a Moon Ball)

Future Sword Nicknames:
??? The Bergmite (Might name it after a Titanic survivor)

Brilliant Diamond nicknames:
Emile the Garchomp (Named after a soccer player)
Rachel the Teddiursa (Name randomly popped in my head)
Ellen the Houndoom (Named after an underworld goddess from Celtic Mythology)
Aria the Staraptor (Was thinking of an air themed name)
Ikue the Pikachu (After Ikue Otani, voice actress of Pikachu)
Poseidon the Empoleon (The trident)
Zeus the Luxray (Was planning a Greek Mythology theme)
Edgar the Clefable (A name that randomly popped into my head)
A'Tuin the Turtwig (After the World Turtle in Discworld)
Llywellyn the Farfetch'd (Leeks are the national symbol of Wales, and I decided to go for a Welsh name for my Farfetch'd, so Llywellyn was the name)

Future nicknames:
Takehiro the Cyndaquil (Continuing with the theme of nicknaming Pokemon after current and former Arsenal players)
Amelia the Vulpix (Will be used for a Ribbon Master Challenge)

Current theme namings as of Generation 8:
Mythology names (Examples: Several Pokemon on Brilliant Diamond)
Names of famous astronauts/cosmonauts associated with the Space Race (Several Pokemon on Pokemon Sword)
Theme names (Pokemon Sword, at least half the names have a particular theme)
Current and Former Arsenal players (Examples: Francesc the Cinderace, Tomas the Shiny Greedent and Emile the Garchomp)
Miscellaneous names (Erling the Alolan Vulpix)
Names inspired by the Titanic (Several Pokemon on Sword)

Generation 9 naming themes:
Spanish Baby names
Spanish athletes (Starter will be named either Iker, Fernando or Ivan) Going to start with the 2000 Champions League Final
Colours

My sister tends to nickname all her Pokemon, while on my brother's Generation 7 games he has nicknamed the following:
Kim Jong-Un the Yungoos (He nicknamed his Yungoos after Politicians)
XmasTree the Xuritree (He caught it over Christmas)

Some nicknames I have seen online:
Boxhall the Bergmite (Instead of naming a Bergmite "Titanic", why not name a Bergmite after a survivor instead)
Rocky The Rock the Golem (One of the worst nicknames I have seen)
da rock the Coalossal (Received over Surprise Trade)
Nebby the Solgaleo/Lunala (This is common in the Pokemon fandom)
Flwoofy the Cosmog (In Crown Tundra, there is an old woman looking after a Cosmog she named Flwoofy)
Liger Zero the Solgaleo (There are two types of people. Those that don't nickname their Solgaleo and those that name their Solgaleo after a "Zoids" Mecha. Well, Solgaleo does look like a Liger Zero)
Zeke the Necrozma (Someone on "UltraSun" planned to name their Necrozma "Zeke" after the organoid from the "Zoids" anime. I'm surprised nobody have thought of nicknaming a Lunala "Shadow" or "Raven" yet, considering Lunala does look a bit like Shadow)
Fiona the Clauncher (Originally they were going to name their Clauncher "Zoidberg" after the character from Futurama, but because their Clauncher was female, they decided to name it after the main female character from the original Zoids anime)
Dolgoch the Rolycoly (Apt that it has the Brave Nature and was hatched in Courageous Cavern. A Shiny too)
